Made With Your Fabric Choices

Combine a feature print for the wings, a coordinating strap fabric and contrasting bias binding. The construction uses fusible interfacing, batting, quilting, curved stitching and enclosed floral wire to help shape the wings. You will also need two 1-inch plastic parachute clips and standard sewing supplies; the PDF gives the full materials list.

This is an intermediate project for makers comfortable handling layered fabric, curved edges, bias binding and some hand stitching. The pattern is not a complete beginner sewing course.

Measure Your Pet Before Choosing a Size

Choose by your pet's measurements, not breed or appearance. The pattern advises choosing the larger size when between sizes. Print the templates on US Letter paper at Actual Size / 100%, and check the 1-inch square before cutting.

*Small-size technical note: the current PDF preserves a cutting-chart discrepancy: B1, FN2 and BT1 are listed as 4″ × 10″, while the mirrored Small wing template spans approximately 12″. Read page 13 and resolve this before cutting; do not shrink the template to force it to fit.

About the Christmas Gallery

The gallery shows AI-generated holiday fabric-styling inspiration. The PDF teaches the same bat-wing construction using the original sample fabrics. Character motifs and decorations are fabric-print inspiration, not included appliqué, embroidery or printable artwork. Exact fabrics are not supplied, and print placement will vary.

Decorative costume use: supervise your pet and check fit, enclosed wire and hardware before wear. Remove it if your pet shows discomfort or starts chewing. This pattern is not certified for leash loads; do not use the wings or costume as a leash attachment or as a substitute for suitable walking equipment.
