Christmas Signature Quilt
Quilt Pattern PDF

Every Christmas, Everyone Signs.

Start a tradition your family will look forward to every December. The Christmas Signature Quilt is a diamond log cabin throw with twelve cream windows, one in the center of every block, made for the names you love. Ask everyone to sign after Christmas dinner, add the grandchildren as they arrive, and bring the quilt out again each year. Season after season, it becomes the story of your family's Christmases.

Digital PDF quilt pattern only. You are purchasing a downloadable sewing guide. A finished quilt, fabric, fabric pens, batting, backing and styling props are not included. No physical item will be shipped.

Two Ways to Sign

Sign before sewing: collect signatures on the twelve 5β€³ cream squares, then sew them into the blocks. The squares are flat and steady, so writing is easy for everyone, children too.

A quilt that grows: make the quilt with plain cream windows and add new names directly on the quilt every December. The pattern shows you how to quilt around the windows so they stay smooth for writing.

Your Christmas Fabrics, Your Family's Names

For the look shown, gather 2 1/2β€³ strips in cranberry and holly reds, burgundy, forest and pine greens, soft sage and antique golds. A solid or very light cream makes the signature windows, sashing and borders, so every name is easy to read. A roll of 2 1/2β€³ precut strips or strips from your Christmas fabric stash work well.

The product images show a fabric-colorway and styling idea; the names in the windows are examples. This pattern uses the same diamond log cabin block as our Diamond Log Cabin Quilt Pattern, with a Christmas palette, a full signature guide and printable templates.
